Two Classic Favourites in One.

Back in the day, Lego was the most epic toy of all time. Don’t remember? That means you’re too young! 😉

Nowadays, with iPads and Facebook, its rare to see Lego make an appearance anywhere – ESPECIALLY at a birthday party! But we’ve found a way to bring a cult classic back to life. The Lego Cake. #winning.

How to…

1) Start by making your favourite cake recipe. Pour batter into a prepared 9×13 pan and bake according to directions.

2) Once your cake is cool, turn it out onto a cutting board. You’ll need to cut it into four pieces.

3) Take the middle two pieces (the ones you’ll be using) pop them in separate bags to freeze overnight.

4) The next day, make your prefered icing. Then simply dye your icing a lego colour! This blogger decided on yellow.

5) Add a smidge of frosting to the cake plate to help the cake stay in place. Pull the cake layers out of the freezer…you’ll be frosting them while they’re still frozen.

6) Place the bottom cake layer onto the cake plate on the frosting dab.
