Recycle Time

These beauties are so appealing because who doesn’t have a couple of empty wine bottles lying around? It’s a perfect DIY for after Christmas when you’re left with little room in the recycling bin!

This is such a cheap solution to decorating your tables this NYE, and the outcome is beautiful. You could also replicate for engagement parties with the initials of the couple. Super cute.

Let’s get started.

What you’ll need…

  1. Wine bottles – thoroughly clean the labels off the bottles. You can either soak in warm soapy water for ten minutes, or try using tea tree oil.
  2. Ribbon – find whatever you’ve got lying around the house after Christmas!
  3. Spray paint – you can use any colour you like, but we are massive fans of anything metallic
  4. Glitter Cardboard
  5. Skewers
  6. Super Glue

How To…

  1. In a well ventilated area, spray the bottles with the spray paint. Read the directions on the can for best outcome. Its probably best this part is done outside on some old wrapping paper or newspaper
  2. Trace numbers on to your glitter cardboard and cut out
  3. Glue glitter numbers to the skewers
  4. Pop all materials together into the bottle and VOILA.
