Pop goes the weasel!
Cake pops are a HUGE phenomenon at the moment because they are cute, easy, no mess and it’s harder to overindulge. This is a fun little way you can sparkle up your cake pops for any party occasion.
What you’ll need…
- Ready made Cake Pops
- microwave safe bowl
- Candy of your choice
- Sanding sugar
- Decorating Tips (suggestion #4 and/or #12)
- Icing/Pastry Bags
- styrofoam block for cake pops to dry
How to…
- Melt your candy wafers in your microwave in 30 seconds intervals.
- Now add the Wilton tip to your icing bag and fill it with melted candy melts.
- Best method to make swirls on cake pops is where you start to swirl right on top (middle) of the cake pop and work your way all the way around the cake pop, in one motion.
- Start to squeeze the icing bag, hold the cake pop under the stream of melted candy, while you continue to squeeze.
- What’s left to do: As soon as you are done piping, hurry with the sanding sugar and sprinkle it on the piped lines (those thin lines will dry quite quickly).
