Best mug in the universe.
I’m not sure if Darth Vader likes coffee, but if he did, this is EXACTLY the mug he would be drinking from. Ammi right?
If you’re not feeling overly crafty, we’ve got some amazing Star Wars inspired party supplies ready to go! Nevertheless, still read on and fall in love with this mug like we did!
What you’ll need…
- Black Sharpie permanent marker
- Plain mug
- Alcohol for rubbing residue off
- ear buds
- Silhouette (download via link at bottom of blog) or draw by hand if you’re super talented (we are not)
- Contact paper
How to…
First put the background of the stencil onto the mug.
Then add back each element as if it were one shape. This will ensure you get the shapes straight and in the right areas.
Then remove the areas to be coloured in. Smooth out any bubbles.
Fill in the areas within the stencil.
Remove the stencil. Touch up any bleed throughs with alcohol or hand draw with sharpie to correct mistakes.
After applying wait 24 hours, then pop the mug in the oven (while it’s still off) and let temperature rise to 200 degrees C for 30 minutes. Once 30 minutes is done, turn the oven off and leave the mug in there to cool.
Make sure you hand wash this mug, the dishwasher will be to rough! See link below to some awesome stencils!
